They Aren’t Ready For Me

Peel back the layers, examine the facts

Discovery, a personal journey simple as that

Five senses absorbing unexpected conditions

Atmosphere, thoughts, environment simple addition

Everyone’s mind frames perceive things different

With that understanding comes acceptance of opinion

Places, people, objects of the world understood by facts

People try to manipulate with what they manufacture

Eventually the propaganda begins to bleed

People start to understand society, brought back to reality

Discovering since birth they were socialized incorrectly

Brain washed, domesticated by the medias imagination

All this beautiful, peaceful opportunities

People ruin it over greed, with weak mentalities

An open mind sounds so simple, the hardest thing to find

Quit pretending to be someone else

Living through telling lies to yourself

Take responsibility; share your piece of the pie

There is a place in the world for everyone to be applied

It’s each person’s job to find

Only for personal growth

Look around discover the facts, accept them as they are

Be happy, deny it, fight it and go through eternity miserably

Too much to say, not enough people that will listen

I don’t care if you’re Catholic, Protestant,

Jewish, Muslim or Christian

In fact I believe in no religion, just society and perception

After all, we meet at that intersection

How we each get there to each other, not always clear

All either of us knows, we’re both standing there

Choices to make, decisions to be weighed

Be bold and share, act timid and scared

Open up be real to the experience

Shut down never experience anything

Which dimension will you bring, radical or conservative

A constant struggle we all battle within

Courage, Wisdom, Expression

Thus formulates another’s opinion

Being real means your living

Choices again, be mindful or mindless

Authenticity regardless of anyone’s opinion

A peaceful warrior liberating myself from me

The man in the mirror, the person everyone else wants to see

Living in this society, which refuses to accept me?

Forces me to train in self-defense methods

Disciplines academia labels, self-esteem, self-acceptance

How often is the phrase common sense mentioned?

Creating another traffic jam at the intersection

Two different routes concludes with two different perceptions

Moving forward makes living two dimensions

Social location, ascribed plus achieved status

Ascribed equals sex age race things giving, to you by nature

Achieved you earn it, job religion education

Think about it were at East 4th and Euclid

Make a decision, hilarities or house of blues

How about gambling with Jack, tossing Horse Shoes

White 35 year old male by nature

Business owner felon  former student without a religion

Those are the directions I followed to the intersection

Take a trip follow those directions

Otherwise, common sense should never be mentioned

Creative ideas turned to innovative ideals

Producing necessary tools the future reveals

It’s nothing new sir…. you heard the rumors peeling

Everyday I’m hustling, you’ve got another spiel

Been doing it 35 years I’m not leaving, you’re forced to deal

Eventually there won’t be no need for you and me

The governments control will supersede

All from the lazy people in society

Stand up fight, will you dare

I will do it alone without any care

Health care, subprime mortgage scares

The rich and powerful created fear

My beliefs are how I feel

Pushed down this path, I keep it real

Watch out, political icons steal

The minds of the weak

Brain washed, broke…. left in the streets

Welfare social security, it’s our responsibility

Lifelong survival plans, a necessity

Instead they teach us to be weak

Forced to take them to the peak

While struggling to achieve defeat

Holding us back is their objective

Question everything, be selective

Before you’re victimized, left naked

I won’t give up, I will teach

Peace Love Happiness, all we need

Money and Power, stratification all for greed

Politics and religion keep you weak

Freedom is what we seek

Unfortunately, its not a reality

I stand alone, unless you stand by me

How much longer will we allow this to be?

The choice is left up to you and me

Do nothing or help me create change in society
