After the Comma

Listen to your heart, it’s got a lot to say

Guide it towards what you’re going through, today

Ignoring, leads to the situation reoccurring everyday

Making things that much worse, in every way

An emotional bubble, ready to burst

Once in touch with your feelings, no more hurt

We know what to do, satisfy our emotional thrust

Having drawn a hypothetical conclusion, my heart can’t take any more contusions

All I can really do, stop the bruising

Opening up to you, lets you know how I feel

Your reaction, determines how we seal

This relationship, we both let get extremely real

Where to go from this point, only moving forward

Like Robin Hood, hiding out in Sherwood

Steeling from the emotional rich, giving to the poor

Despite what you’ve done, these feelings I can’t ignore

For me love can only be one way, pure

I am completely helpless, laying on the floor

All you do is try and hurt me, I love you more

Your actions show your love for me, conditioned

Stuck at an intersection, a stand still position

Watching these stars at night, wishing

Things were different, we could be kissing

The more time, I spend without you here

The easier it becomes to deal with the pain, the fear

All you want to do is hurt me more, grind my gears

You blame me, for all your pain and fears

Get over yourself, nobody else cares

One day you’ll look back, see things clear

Realizing we both contributed equally, when compared
