What Love Means to Me

Love isn’t how any of us ever imagined it would be

Filled with heartache, mistakes, sacrifice and commitment, all reality

For some reason were socialized and developed to think it’s a fantasy

Beauty In The Beast, Cinderella, Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs all over TV

Defining roles creating a reference for us all to look at and see

The exposure to happily ever after reinforced us to believe

There is someone in the world that we must need

Lifes not complete without a spouse and a family

Lets forget all of that and flip the conversation over to me

I refuse to buy whats being sold by the profit mongers of society

Alone on my own two feet walking down the street, all I need is me

Don’t assume that I wouldn’t want a beautiful woman walking next to me

Consider the type of woman I am speaking of by these qualities

She needs to know how to be herself without expectations while loving life passionately

There only one way this will ever work so with her I will discuss the possibilities

You and me does equal we however remember we both contribute to that equation separately

We wont ever be one, forget the white dress and big party this is no fantasy

Together we must grow by exploring the world spreading love energetically

Teaching others how we make it work being radicals in our conservative society

Three key elements we must both acknowledge and practice individually

Love equals passion commitment and intimacy

Following that model everyday building on those blocks constantly

That’s how two people make it romantically

At least this gives you an idea of what love means to me
