Reaching for the stars
Society’s all about a dime
Making money just to live our lives
The rat race keeps us disconnected
No time to waste
Still breathing, Gods good grace
Walking the righteous path
Watching people run that race
Its a maze ing
A mindset created to let go of the past
Personal growth gets me labeled, crazy
People keeping their own mentality protected
Even though I never changed
Progressing through life day by day
I find myself growing through the pain
Everytime I open my eyes
I see the world like a surprise
Realizing every time
I open my eyes there is someone else that cries
Another dies
To many people question why
Instead of making changes to their lives
Leading by example is the only way to stride
If we want the rest of the world to conceptualize
The way we think we can change society
Within us all, the answers lie
Drawing them out of the sky
Then from each others minds
The only thing that keeps us alive
Without growth and connection
We would all die
Give acceptance and simplicity a try
Spending all our time
Seeking to find
Purpose and meaning
Sitting on ideas, day dreaming
I’m not much different than you
Talking from a human point of view
Perspective on beliefs, maybe not true
Choices we all have them
We forget to choose
Judgmental blasphemy
People said about me
I’m everything you said I’d never be
Going places you’re affraid to see
Wish you could have walked with me
Asking for forgiveness to live freely
