Freaked out
Insecure
Neurotic
Emotional
People ask what’s wrong. And we say “I’m fine.” Fear of putting our vulnerability on the line. Excuse me, it’s my business do you mind? It’s not like someone else can walk a mile in our shoes. Or that people really want to hear us sing the blues. That just might be the story we tell ourselves to relieve the anxiety. Keeping it to ourselves like holding on to false reality. Getting caught up in our feelings. Instead of opening up to others to start the healing. It freaks us out to let others in. Our insecurities hold us back from being open. An unconscious reaction which makes us neurotic. Emotional responses while processing our reflections. Don’t worry though, I’m fine.
